Haight street’s neighborhood venue during the late ‘60s was the Straight Theater. The Straight was home to many of the great acts of the day. Its history is rich and interesting. This original MC5 poster was designed by the legendary Detroit artist, Gary Grimshaw. Known mainly for the many posters and handbills he produced for the Grande Ballroom, this is an image he created to advertise a show in San Francisco. The bright and colorful artwork features the logo of the Michigan-based White Panther Party. A 100% Original Pre-Concert First Printing with no restoration! This is a title displayed in the Art of Rock book that very seldom surfaces in public auctions!
