The 9.6 graded original BG-11 poster being offered here is TIED for the FINEST CGC graded example we've handled! Additionally, this is only the 3rd certified example of the First Pre-Concert Printing we've ever auctioned.

This Fillmore Auditorium poster is an excellent example of Wes Wilson’s early work as a poster artist. Throughout the first 30 Fillmore posters you can track the development of the artists’ style. His experimentation with color combinations and lettering styles evolved dramatically during this period. By the time Wilson finished his tenure for Graham, his style had matured and had set the bar high for all who followed.

We have consistently advised collectors to focus on the first 30 issues of the Bill Graham series. In August 2018, a same 9.6 graded example reached $1725 in our auction. These early issues, from the first year of the Fillmore Auditorium, enjoy tremendous collector demand for the tiny and dwindling supply of high quality examples like this one here! Superb Museum Quality with no nicks, cuts, tears or pinholes!
